Kurt Reifschneider

Good direction is often the difference between reaching your destination or winding up lost down a two-lane road. When it comes to making ads, few I have seen provide better creative direction than Kurt Reifschneider, currently creative director at The Garrigan Lyman Group after nice runs at McCann Erickson and Copacino Fujikado. Kurt's relentless good humor, impeccable taste, and wonderful creative craftsmanship make him a joy to work with.

I was always impressed by Kurt’s desire to keep learning and growing. In the time we worked together, Kurt burnished his digital advertising skills and became an accomplished video director who is a wonderful with talent and crew. He even sketches terrific shooting boards, which I personally find amazing.

When we caught up recently at Freemont Coffee, our two hours together flew by. Kurt always has great stories to tell ("Talk to Dave" was my favorite this time). In the end, he left me with this advice for my current career transition; each day, do something for work, something for you, and something for somebody else.

Now that’s good direction.
