Betti Fujikado

I've had the good fortune of working with some terrific leaders and mentors over the years. In order of appearance: Steve Campbell, Cathy O., Laurie Dahl, Betti Fujikado (she/her), Tim Garrigan, and Rebecca Lyman. I was lucky enough to catch up with Betti at Cafe Javasti in Wedgewood last week. What a joy it was to see her again.

Betti and I were at a little place called Sight and Sound Entertainment 100 years ago, where a number of soon-to-be marketing/advertising giants had a cup of coffee, notably Clark Kokich, Halle Hutchison, Tim, and Betti. Betti was a rising star already who’d spent time at the Seattle outpost of TBWA\Chiat\Day before steering the financial ship at S and S. Later, Betti went on to co-found Copacino Fujikado with Jim Copacino, one of the most successful ad agencies in Seattle over the past 25 years.

Betti’s warm heart, business brilliance, and unwavering integrity have made her an indispensable friend and mentor over the years (and no doubt the secret to her enduring success). I am grateful to know her and awed by all she has done and doing still at First Gen Cohorts. It was an epic stop on the reconnect roadshow. Thank you Betti!
